State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor Dr. Nancy L. Zimpher will continue her summer “get-acquainted” tour of SUNY campuses when she visits Alfred State College on Tuesday, Aug. 18.

“We are delighted to host Dr. Zimpher and pleased that her schedule will permit her to visit both of our campuses,” noted Dr. John M. Anderson, Alfred State College president.  “And we are certain Alfred State will make a positive lasting impression!”

Zimpher will begin her visit with a breakfast where she will meet campus administrators; Patricia K. Fogarty, Alfred State College Council chair; students; and alumni representatives.

Following the “meet-and-greet,” Dr. Zimpher will tour the Alfred campus, viewing select areas for closer inspection, have a quick view of the college farm, and visit the Wellsville campus where one of the stops will be the new Workforce Development Center.

The Chancellor will wind up the day at the Lake Lodge for lunch where she will have additional interaction with students and answer questions from local media.
