If you’re Nicole Wagner, Fulton, a third-year bakery intern in the culinary arts: baking, production and management program at Alfred State College, you bake her a bust—literally! To show her mom how proud she was of her, Nicole combined her bakery and artistic talents (and four sheet cakes) to sculpt a woman’s torso from cake (“held together by a bunch of dowels,” laughs Nicole). Clad in pink, with pink breast cancer ribbon adornment, the cake sculpture was a hit at the party, particularly with the guest of honor, says Nicole.
