Strong Second Half Lifts Titusville over ASC

Pitt-Titusville finished on a 20-8 run to lift themsevles to a 76-64 come-from-behind victory over Alfred State College on Thursday evening.  ASC led 33-32 at half and led 48-43 before the Panthers tied the game at 56-56 with eight minutes remaining.

Geena Sneeringer led Titusville (5-2) with 26 points and 14 rebounds while Maura McCaslin and Marissa Neely each finished with 15.  Tierra Wallace also finished in double-figures with 10 points.  The Panthers were 28 for 42 from the line including 20 for 26 in the second half.

Shadeeka Campbell (Brooklyn/William Grady) led the Lady Pioneers with 17 points and 16 rebounds.  Amie Brooks (Pavilion) finished with 15 points while Camille Romero (Queens Village) came off the bench and chipped in 10.

ASC held a 64-49 advantage on the boards including a 30 to 13 advantage on the offensive glass.  The blue and gold were slowed down by 24 turnovers and 8 for 22 foul shooting.

The Pioneers (5-3) return to action on Saturday in the first round of the ASC Tournament.  ASC takes on Jefferson CC at Noon followed by Hagerstown (MD) CC taking on Fulton Montgomery CC at 2 p.m.
