Six players finished in double figures as Alfred State downed Niagara CCC 92-79 to close out the regular season.  A-State heads into the Region III Division II Tournament with a 19-10 overall record and a 8-6 mark in WNYAC play.

Six players finished in double figures as Alfred State downed Niagara CCC 92-79 to close out the regular season.  A-State heads into the Region III Division II Tournament with a 19-10 overall record and a 8-6 mark in WNYAC play.

Travis Brannen (Elmira Free) led the Pioneers with 21 points and eight boards. Dan Foley (Irondequoit) came off the bench and had 17 points and eight boards, Fran Lantigua (Jamestown) had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Cerrone Jackson (Forrest Hills) chipped in 12 points.

Dusty Marshall (Newfield) had a solid day with 11 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and five steals.  Jerome Hall (Cicero North Syracuse) rounded out the scoring with 10 points.

Darryl King led all scorers with 34 points on 14 for 26 shooting.  He also grabbed eight rebounds.  Armando Rosario was the only other Trailblazer in double-figures finishing with 15 points and nine assists.

ASC shot a solid 48.6% from the field and held a 56 to 30 advantage on the boards.  NCCC shot 45.1% from the field.

The Pioneers will now wait to learn the seeding for the Region III Division II Tournament which will be announced on Sunday evening.
