Six Pioneer football players were named to the Northeast Football Conference All-Conference team for the 2008 season.  Wide Receiver Josh Griffen (Englewood, NJ), running back DeAndre Johnson (Detroit, MI), defensive lineman Michael Gee (Englewood, NJ), defensive back Damion King (Detroit, MI), defensive back Ike Iloegbu (Brentwood) and punter Preston Washburn (Dundee) were each named Second Team All-NFC.

Six Pioneer football players were named to the Northeast Football Conference All-Conference team for the 2008 season.  Wide Receiver Josh Griffen (Englewood, NJ), running back DeAndre Johnson (Detroit, MI), defensive lineman Michael Gee (Englewood, NJ), defensive back Damion King (Detroit, MI), defensive back Ike Iloegbu (Brentwood) and punter Preston Washburn (Dundee) were each named Second Team All-NFC.

Griffin, a freshman, led the Pioneers with 32 receptions for 622 yards.  He also had twice as many touchdown receptions as anyone else in the conference with ten.  Griffin also ran back kickoffs for the Pioneers, returning ten kicks for an average of 17.9 yards per return.

Johnson, one of only two 1,000 yard rushers in the conference, rushed for an average of 121.0 yards per game with eight rushing touchdowns.  Pressed into duty at quarterback late in the season, Johnson also threw for 546 yards on 30 completions with eight passing touchdowns.  Johnson's 121 yards rushing per game was 2nd best in the conference while his 1,089 total yards rushing was the best in the conference.

Gee led the team and was 3rd in the conference with six sacks.  He finished the season with 34 tackles, 12 of which were for a loss, and one forced fumble.

King finishes the season with 53 tackles (6th in the conference with 5.9 tackles per game) and three sacks.  He also had two interceptions, one forced fumble and a conference leading five fumble recoveries.   

Iloegbu had 31 tackles on the season. He also had three interceptions which was second most in the conference.  Iloegbu also ran back two kickoffs for an average of 18 yards per return.

Washburn makes the All-Conference team for his punting prowess.  Washburn averaged 34.3 yards per punt with a long punt of 58 yards.  He also was able to help the Pioneer field position with 12 punts inside the twenty yard line.

The Pioneers finished the 2008 campaign with a 4-5 record.
