Alfred State College freshman guard Amie Brooks (Pavilion) took some time to answer some questions from the ASC Sports Information Department. Brooks leads the Lady Pioneers in scoring thus far during the 2010-11 season.

What are some of your personal goals for this season?

Some personal goals I had for myself this season was to have a winning record, and also to make it to regionals.

What attracted you to Alfred State College?

I knew Alfred State would be a good college for me because they had my program here and it’s a great place to learn, also I wanted to play basketball in college and I thought Alfred State was a good fit for me.

What is the biggest difference between playing in college and playing in high school?

The biggest difference between high school and college was that in high school I knew every girl I was playing against, and the competition wasn’t as hard.

Who has been your biggest influence?

My dad by far has been my biggest influence he has coached me in high school and has taught me basketball when I was just a little girl, and most important has inspired me to become a great human being.

Would you rather have 20 points or 10 assists?

Definetly 10 assists

What is your most memorable athletic achievement?

My senior year in high school; we won our division and we also went to sectional finals.

If you could have any one superpower, what would it be? The ability to fly

How do you motivate yourself before a game? I listen to music before every game.
