Alfred State College recently announced promotions in the ranks of the professional staff. Promoted were, in the Administrative Affairs Division: Barbara Davis, Wellsville, from publications production assistant, to secretary to the vice president for Administrative Affairs; Rita Scott, Arkport, from cleaner to laborer, Facilities Services; Roseanna Thompson, Hornell, from cleaner to janitor, Facilities Services; and Jim VanCise, Canisteo, from laborer to maintenance assistant, Facilities Services. In the Division of Enrollment Management: Kathy Bayus, Alfred Station, from clerk 2 to secretary 1, Communications; Pamela Brandes, from calculations clerk to calculations clerk 2, Student Accounts; Sue Conklin, Campbell, from secretary 1 to agency program aide, Enrollment Services; Kandi Geibel, Hornell, from assistant director to associate director, Admissions; and Jason White, Hornell, from staff assistant to staff associate, Enrollment Services. In the Student Affairs Division: Casey Gross, from assistant director, Residential Life to assistant dean, Judicial Affairs; and Tricia Herritt, Andover, from resident director to assistant director, Residence Life. And in the Institutional Advancement Division: Roxanna Sammons, from secretary 1 to secretary to the vice president for Institutional Advancement. Promotions were announced at the annual recognition luncheon at the end of the spring semester. This year's luncheon theme was Eat Fresh, Buy Local, Think Green, which hosted a variety of local vendors promoting their products and increasing awareness of the benefits of buying locally.
