Pioneers Tripped up by Genesee

Playing their sixth straight game on the road to start the season, the Alfred State College men's soccer team was tripped up 6-0 by Genesee CC.  The Pioneers head home after their long road trip with a 2-3-1 record.

Playing their sixth straight game on the road to start the season, the Alfred State College men's soccer team was tripped up 6-0 by Genesee CC.  The Pioneers head home after their long road trip with a 2-3-1 record.

Genesee scored two goals in the first and four in the second to win the contest.  They held a 24 to 4 shots on goal advantage.

Nick Smith (Arkport) made 15 saves in net while Michael DePonceau (Salamanca) made three.

The Pioneers host Broome CC on Thursday in a 4 p.m. contest as the college begins the Homecoming 2011.
