Pioneers Net Ten in Loss to #1 Onodaga

The Alfred State College lacrosse team found the back of the net ten times in a 32-10 loss to #1 ranked Onondaga CC.  The ten goals scored against OCC (12-0) ties the most allowed by the Lazers in a game this season.

The Alfred State College lacrosse team found the back of the net ten times in a 32-10 loss to #1 ranked Onondaga CC.  The ten goals scored against OCC (12-0) ties the most allowed by the Lazers in a game this season.

Mike Hart (Ajax, ONT) led the Pioneers with a seven point day, scoring five goals and passing out two assists.  Kevin Gardrvits (Glen Cove) registered two goals and an assist, while Kyle Davis (Cortland/Homer) and Chance Lowry (Waterloo) each had a goal and an assist.  Brad Zacher (Medina) scored a goal and Pat Umphries (Heuvelton) was credited with an assist.

Matt Crough led OCC with six goals while Caleb Wiles had five goals and three assists.  15 different Lazers scored.

Brad Stowell (Marcellus) made 15 saves for the blue & gold and faced 67 shots.

The Pioneers play their final home game of the 2011 season on Saturday when they host Jefferson CC at 1 p.m.
