Monroe, winners of eleven straight games, jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter and kept the pressure on and led 9-2 at halftime.  The Tribunes (14-4) advance to this weekend's Region III Final Four to take on #1 seed and #1 ranked Onondaga CC.

Josh Mateo (Waterloo) led the offense with a season high four goals.  Ryan Grogan (Waterloo) netted a goal and passed out an assist, Tony Micelotta (Irondequoit) scored once, and Ryan Speciale (Corning West) was credited with an assist.

Marshall Merritt (Marcellus) made 21 saves in net for the blue and gold.

The Pioneers were making their second straight appearance in the Region III Tournament and their third appearance in Coach Todd Weil's four years at the helm of the program.
