Each team traded field goals in the 1st quarter with Louisburg hitting a 31 yarder with 6:57 remaining and Josh Franchina (Cassadaga Valley) connecting on a 28-yard attempt with 27 seconds remaining.

It looked like the game was headed into halftime tied at 3-3 but Kewitt Koonce intercepted a pass with 18 seconds left and returned it 58-yards for the score.  The PAT attempt was blocked by Brett Harrington (Rochester/Edison) and returned for the two-point conversion to make it 9-5 at half.

Demario Askew rushed in from 23-yards out with 1:43 remaining in the 3rd quarter and Greg Quick caught a 20-yard pass from LaBron Houston to give the Hurricanes a 23-5 lead.

ASC made a comeback attempt when Emanuel Magliocco (Rochester/Aquinas) connected with Josh Griffin (Englewood, NJ) on a 51-yard pass play.  Franchina hit the extra point to make it 23-12.

The touchdown catch by Griffin tied him for the ASC career record for touchdown receptions.  He is tied with Mark Wolfe (2002 & 2004).

The Pioneers had the ball inside the red zone in the final seconds but a pass was intercepted as time expired.
