Adalberto Vargas (Norman Thomas) was the lone Pioneer with multiple hits finished 2 for 3 with an RBI single in the 1st inning.  Jeff Paul (Horseheads) drove home a run in the 6th inning to account for the other A-State run.  In the 6th, ASC loaded the bases after Paul's RBI single but were unable to plate any more runs.
