Monroe CC hit 59% of their first half shots to build a 46-29 halftime lead en route to a 84-68 victory over Alfred State on Tuesday evening.  The Tribunes, #3 in NJCAA Division III, improve to 15-1 (2-1 WNYAC) on the season while the Pioneers fall to 9-11 (3-2 WNYAC).

Monroe CC hit 59% of their first half shots to build a 46-29 halftime lead en route to a 84-68 victory over Alfred State on Tuesday evening.  The Tribunes, #3 in NJCAA Division III, improve to 15-1 (2-1 WNYAC) on the season while the Pioneers fall to 9-11 (3-2 WNYAC).

Bobby Bell connected on five three pointers and finished tied for a team high with 17 points.  Aaron Williams came of the bench and chipped in 17 while Shyrone Carter finished with 15.  Antonio Williams recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds for MCC.

Jose Stable (Brooklyn/EBC-Bushwick) led the Pioneers with 20 points and nine boards while Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) had a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists.  Chris Dalton (Elmira Southside) added 12 points while Reggie Corley (Elmira Free) added 11 points and six rebounds off the bench.

MCC shot 48.4% from the field on the game and 45% (9 for 20) from three while ASC shot 38.3% from the field and 42.1% (8 for 19) from three.  MCC held a 45 to 34 advantage on the boards.

The Pioneers hit the road on Thursday for a 8 p.m. contest in Batavia versus Genesee CC.
