Pioneers Can't Solve Tribunes

After limiting Monroe CC to just 19 points in the 1st half, the Alfred State men's basketball team couldn't hold the Tribunes offense down in the 2nd half and fell 62-39 to the Tribunes.  ASC is now 5-11 overall and 0-3 in WNYAC play.

After limiting Monroe CC to just 19 points in the 1st half, the Alfred State men's basketball team couldn't hold the Tribunes offense down in the 2nd half and fell 62-39 to the Tribunes.  ASC is now 5-11 overall and 0-3 in WNYAC play.

Isiah Jefferson led Monroe with 19 points.  MCC shot just 24.1% in the 1st half and led 19-12 at half but shot 51.4% in the 2nd to cruise to their 10th victory of the season (10-8, 1-1 WNYAC).

Patrick Parker (Queens/Hillcrest) led the Pioneers with 18 points and seven rebounds while Alex Hall (Jamaica/Forest Hills) chipped in eight.  Alfred State shot just 25% for the game and was outrebounded by a 54-22 margin.

The Pioneers return to action on Thursday when they host Niagara CCC at the Orvis Activities Center at 7:30 p.m.
