Anthony Espe (Union Endicott) led the Alfred State College baseball team in a 10-0 victory over Alice Lloyd (KY) College JV on Tuesday.  The win improves the Pioneers to 2-3 on their trip to Cocoa, FL.

Espe finished 4 for 4 with 5 RBI on the day while JP Frey (Erie, PA/McDowell) was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI.  Dennis Dueno (Brooklyn/Bishop Ford) was 2 for 3 and Garrett Hoag (Dansville) drove in two and finished 1 for 3 on the day.

The Pioneers scored three runs in the 1st, 4th, and 5th innings to take full control of the contest.

Tyler Mann (Holland Patent) allowed just two hits in five innings of work to earn the victory.  He walked four and struck out two.

Alfred State continues their southern trip on Wednesday when they battle ASA Institute for the second time during their trip.  ASA defeated ASC 8-7 on Sunday.  First pitch is slated for 4 p.m.
