McMahon, Jerome, and Braun named All-WNYAC

Volleyball players Brianne McMahon (Buffalo/Sweet Home), Jenni Jerome (Syracuse/Westhill), and Elaina Bruan (Waterloo) were named All-WNYAC this weekend at the annual Western New York Athletic Conference Tournament.

Jenni JeromeBrianne McMahon-2Elaina BraunVolleyball players Brianne McMahon (Buffalo/Sweet Home), Jenni Jerome (Syracuse/Westhill), and Elaina Bruan (Waterloo) were named All-WNYAC this weekend at the annual Western New York Athletic Conference Tournament. 

McMahon was named to the 1st team for the second straight season.  She leads the Lady Pioneers with 276 kills (3.73/game) and 298 digs (4.02/game).  She has a .271 hitting percentage, 51 service aces, and 19 blocks on the year.

Jerome joined McMahon on the 1st team.  The freshmen middle/outside hitter has recorded 210 kills (2.76/game) and 195 digs (2.57/game).  She has a .281 hitting percentage and has recorded a team leading 42 blocks.

Braun, a 2nd team selection, has been solid as the Lady Pioneers setter.  She has passed out 800 assists (10.81/game) and has 152 digs (2.05/game).  She has a .286 hitting percentage, 97 kills, and 13.5 blocks on the season.

The Lady Pioneers, currently 26-4 and ranked #5 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, finished as WNYAC regular season and post season runner-ups. 

ASC returns to action on Saturday when they play in their final regular season tournament at Corning CC.  Action begins at 9 a.m. and will run all day.  The Lady Pioneers in pool play with Broome CC, Hudson Valley CC, Adirondack CC, and Jefferson CC.
