The Alfred State College volleyball team has earned the #2 seed in this week's Region III Division III Tournament. The Lady Pioneers have earned a bye in the first round and will move to pool play at Corning CC on Saturday.
ASC enters the Regional Championships with a 24-9 overall mark and a 23-7 record in Region III Division III play. The Lady Pioneers have qualified for Regionals in the each of the past seven seasons.
The Pioneers will be in Pool B of the Regional Tournament along with #3 Onondaga CC, #6 SUNY Delhi, and the winner of the #7 Herkimer CCC/#10 Tompkins Cortland CC subregional.
In Pool A, #1 Monroe CC, #4 Corning CC, #5 SUNY Adirondack, and the winner of the #8 Niagara CCC/#9 Jamestown CC subregional will battle for a spot in Sunday's Regional semifinals.

All matches in pool play will feature three games played to 25. The top two teams in each pool will advance to the Region III Division III semfinals which are at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 31. The Regional finals will take place at 1 p.m. The winner of the Regional Tournament advances to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament in Rochester, MN.
