Lady Pioneers Sit on Top of Cross Country Poll

After winning the FLCC Invitational, the Alfred State College women's cross country team has leaped to the top of the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Lady Pioneers are tied for the top spot with Mohawk Valley one week after being ranked #4.

After winning the FLCC Invitational, the Alfred State College women's cross country team has leaped to the top of the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Lady Pioneers are tied for the top spot with Mohawk Valley one week after being ranked #4.

The Lady Pioneers and MVCC each had 270 points in the latest poll.  ASC finished just ahead MVCC at the FLCC Invitational last weekend.  SUNY Delhi is ranked #3, Ocean CCC is 4th, and Hudson Valley CC is 5th.

On the men's poll, ASC makes its first appearance of the season in the top ten after a 2nd place finish last weekend at the FLCC Invite.  ASC received 100 points in the poll.  SUNY Delhi is ranked #1 followed by Harper (IL) College, Mohawk Valley CC, FLCC, and Gloucester.

The Pioneers head to Houghton College on Saturday for the Highlander Invitational.  Action is slated to start at Noon.
