The Alfred State College women's soccer team ran their unbeaten streak to five games with a 5-0 victory over Niagara CCC on Saturday afternoon.  ASC is now 6-2-1 (5-2-1 Region III Division III) on the year.

The Alfred State College women's soccer team ran their unbeaten streak to five games with a 5-0 victory over Niagara CCC on Saturday afternoon.  ASC is now 6-2-1 (5-2-1 Region III Division III) on the year.

Rebekah Wycokoff (Laurens) got the Lady Pioneers on the board in the 1st half after getting a pass from Therese Hubbel (Bishop Kearney).

Shelby Winchester (Maple Grove) found the back of the net after getting a pass from Jessie Smith (Fredonia) before Smith scored after getting a pass from Winchester to make it 3-0.  Ariele Edmister (Royalton-Hartland) added to the lead with her first goal of the season assisted by Caitin Neill (Alfred Almond).  Caitlyn Meeder (LeRoy) capped the scoring after getting a pass from Kelsey Wissert (Scio).

ASC held a 26 to 4 shot advantage.  Philicia Harris (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) and Brandi Edwards (Andover) combined to make four saves in net to record the shutout.

The Lady Pioneers return to action on Tuesday when they host JCC-Olean for a 4 p.m. contest.
