The Alfred State College women's soccer team fired 42 shots as they defeated Niagara CCC 7-0 to win their sixth straight.  ASC built a 5-0  halftime lead en route to improving their record to 7-1 on the year.

The Alfred State College women's soccer team fired 42 shots as they defeated Niagara CCC 7-0 to win their sixth straight.  ASC built a 5-0  halftime lead en route to improving their record to 7-1 on the year.

Tiffany Fox (Canisteo Greenwood) led the offense with a goal and two assists while Kerri Belavia (Greece Athena) found the back of the net twice.  Jenna Lynn (York), Shea McKee (Canisteo Greenwood), Maura Tuffey (Albany/The Academy of the Holy Names) all scored for ASC.  Lacee Pearl (Olean) passed out two assists while Justine Rutherford (Walton) was credited with one assist.

Simone Delaney (Canisteo Greenwood) made one save in the first half while Athena Scavo (Hornell) didn't have to make a save in the second.

Alfred held a 42 to 2 shot advantage with 27 of the Pioneer shots were on goal.

The blue & gold head to Olean on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. contest with the JCC-Cattaraugus County.
