For the second year in a row the Alfred State College volleyball team will enter the Region III Division III Tournament as the #1 seed.  The Lady Pioneers finished the regular season with a 30-4 overall record and a 30-2 mark in Region III Division III play.

For the second year in a row the Alfred State College volleyball team will enter the Region III Division III Tournament as the #1 seed.  The Lady Pioneers finished the regular season with a 30-4 overall record and a 30-2 mark in Region III Division III play. 

A-State, ranked #5 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, will host the final eight schools in the Regional Tournament on November 3-4.  The winner of this weekend's tournament will advance to the NJCAA Division III Championships in Rochester, MN on November 16-17.

In Saturday's pool play the Pioneers will battle #4 Mohawk Valley CC, #5 SUNY Cobleskill, and the winner of a sub-regional contest between #8 Niagara CCC and #9 SUNY Delhi. 

In the other pool #2 Corning CC, #3 Jamestown CC, #6 Jefferson CC, and the winner of #7 Monroe CC and #10 Tompkins Cortland CC will battle.

Pool play consists of three games to 30 points.  Teams are awarded a point for each game won.  The two teams from each pool with the most points (most games won) will advance to the semifinals on Sunday.

Semifinals are set for 11 a.m. on Sunday and will be best of five with the finals played on the main court at 1 p.m.
