For the second time in eight days the Alfred State College women's basketball team won a tight contest versus Dean College.  On Sunday afternoon in Franklin, MA the Lady Pioneers improved to 7-3 on the year with a 79-70 victory.

For the second time in eight days the Alfred State College women's basketball team won a tight contest versus Dean College.  On Sunday afternoon in Franklin, MA the Lady Pioneers improved to 7-3 on the year with a 79-70 victory.

Tiffany McLaughlin (Wellsville) led A-State with 25 pionts while Sherelle Brooks (Elmira Free) had a career high 17 points.  Anthia Smith (Elmira Free) and Christina Loder (Brantford, ONT.) each finished with 11 while Sarah Flint (Westmoreland) chipped in 8 points.

The Lady Pioneers enter the final week of the 2007 portion of their schedule with two games remaining.  They will travel to Finger Lakes CC on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. contest with the Lady Lakers before hosting Orange County CC on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
