Football player Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) has been named the NJCAA Special Teams Player of the Week following the Pioneers 26-20 victory over Erie CC on Saturday.  Johnson is the second Pioneer player to be honored by NJCAA this season.

Football player Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) has been named the NJCAA Special Teams Player of the Week following the Pioneers 26-20 victory over Erie CC on Saturday.  Johnson is the second Pioneer player to be honored by NJCAA this season.

Johnson set a new ASC football game record by connecting on four field goals in the Pioneers Region III Championship victory.  Johnson hit 26-yard field goal in the 1st quarter and then connected on a 42, 31, and 32 yard field goal in the 3rd quarter. 

Johnson also handles the kickoff and punting duties for the Pioneers.  In the kickoff game he averaging 65.6 yards per kickoff including one touchback.  In his three punts all against the win he averaged 22.3 net yards per kick.

Heading into the Region III Championship game, Johnson had hit only two field goals all season.

Johnson was a NJCAA Special Teams Player of the Week honoree last season as well on his way to being named a NJCAA All-American.

The Pioneers wrapped up their season as Region III Champions with a 6-4 record.
