Hudson Valley CC used two big runs in a 16-9 victory over Alfred State on Saturday in a contest played at RPI.  The Pioneers are now 0-2 on the young season.

Hudson Valley CC used two big runs in a 16-9 victory over Alfred State on Saturday in a contest played at RPI.  The Pioneers are now 0-2 on the young season.

The Vikings scored the first five goals of the contest before the Pioneers got the offense going and netted the next six to take a 6-5 lead.  HVCC answered right back and scored the next four to take control of the contest.

Mike Hart (Ajax, Ont.) led the offense with four goals and an assist while Keigh Malone (Brewster) and Chance Lowry (Waterloo) each found the back of the net twice.  Daniel Weimer (Derby/Lake Shore) had a goal and an assist while Gary Parmelee (Geneva) and Kevin Gardrvits (Glen Cove) each passed out assists.

Brad Stowell (Marcellus) made 15 saves in net for ASC.

The blue & gold wrap up their season opening three game road trip on Saturday when they travel to Herkimer CCC for a 1 p.m. face-off with the Generals.
