Chaz Rollins led the Lakers with 23 points and 12 rebounds while Martell Medley finished with 19. Daishon Robinson and Deran Banton both had 14 while Richard Smith chipped in 12 points and 11 boards. Lakeland shot 56.8% from the field in the 2nd half to break open a 32-29 game at halftime. LCC also held a 53 to 34 advantage on the boards.
Alex Hall (Jamaica/Forest Hills) led the Pioneers with 28 points and 10 boards while DaQuan Allen (Brooklyn/Boys & Girls) had 14 points, nine assists, and six boards. Rasheem Creech (Brooklyn/Transit Tech) had nine and Pat Parker (Queens/Hillcrest) had eight. Alfred State shot just 38.2% from the field, 25% from three, and 59.1% from the line.
The Pioneers cose out the road portion of their season on Tuesday when they travel to Genesee CC for a 8 p.m. contest.
