Haiti Relief Trip Spring 2011 “Our recent trip to Haiti was life changing. Working alongside the Haitians to help rebuild their country allowed us to see how much you can change someone’s life by even the small things. The progress that has been made within a year is moving slow, but steady, " states Chanel Wright, executive assistant to the president, Alfred State College.

Haiti Relief Trip Spring 2011As seen through the eyes of Chanel Wright, executive assistant to the president, Alfred State College:

“Our recent trip to Haiti was life changing. Working alongside the Haitians to help rebuild their country allowed us to see how much you can change someone’s life by even the small things. The progress that has been made within a year is moving slow, but steady. Every building being rebuilt has been taken apart by hand, and rebuilt using the most basic tools and techniques. The persistence of the Haitian people to keep moving forward is inspiring. There is so much faith from the Haitians for what tomorrow can bring, that it gives you much to be thankful for."
