Anderson were on hand recently to dedicate Foundation Drive in the Village of Wellsville in memory of the late James Sawyer, a dedicated Ed Foundation Board member and staunch supporter of Alfred State College. Sawyer, whose name “Foundation Drive” was chosen in a “name the road” (in the Meservey Hill subdivision) contest, died in 2005 while the first house on that street was being built.
