Five Men's Soccer Players named All-WNYAC

Five members of the Alfred State College men's soccer team have been honored by being named All-Western New York Athletic Conference.  Tyler Paulsen (Letchworth), Dustin Falkner (Letchworth), and Dominic Bisone (N. Tonwanda) were named to the first team while Hiroshi Ozaki (Tokyo, Japan) and Ryan Neal (St. Mary's, PA) were named to the second team.

Dustin FalknerTyler PaulsenDominic BisoneFive members of the Alfred State College men's soccer team have been honored by being named All-Western New York Athletic Conference.  Tyler Paulsen (Letchworth), Dustin Falkner (Letchworth), and Dominic Bisone (Tonwanda) were named to the first team while Hiroshi Ozaki (Tokyo, Japan) and Ryan Neal (St. Mary's, PA) were named to the second team.

Paulsen led the Pioneers in scoring with nine goals and three assists.  He recorded goals in eight different games and had his only multi-goal game of the year (2 goals) in a victory at Jefferson CC.

Falkner was 2nd on the team in scoring finishing the campaign with six goals and two assists.  Falkner scored a pair of goals in a road loss to Mercyhurst North East and a pair of goals in a road victory over Corning CC.  For his career he finishes with 14 goals and five assists.

Bisone, a 2nd team All-WNYAC selection last season, was the steady force in the Pioneers midfield.  He finished the year with one goal and a team-high seven assists.  His lone goal of the year came in a 3-1 victory at Jamestown CC.  For his career he finishes with three goals and nine assists.

Ozaki and Neal anchored the defense for the Blue and Gold.  Each played solid in front of the Pioneer goaltenders.  ASC recorded five shutouts on the year and allowed 1.81 goals per game on the season.

The Pioneers finished the season 7-7-2 and advanced to the Region III Division III Tournament as the #9 seed.  The trip to the Regionals was the programs eighth in a row.
