Edwards won the discus with a last toss of 37.25 to edge out teammate Robert Howard (Syracuse/Nottingham) who threw 36.46. Miller won the pole vault competition with a leap of 4.55 m. Hewlett won the javelin with a toss of 44.70 m.
Marcquis Johnson-Broughton (Rochester/Edison) was 2nd in the 110 m hurdles in 17.81, the 4 x 100 relay team of Hewlett, Miller, Zach Woodard (Adams Center/South Jefferson), and Brian Tubbs (Chemung/Waverly) was 2nd in 45.81, and Travis Nagle (Randolph) was tied for 2nd in the high jump with a leap of 1.73.
On the women's side, Claire Holleran (Penfield) was the lone Lady Pioneer that earned a top-two finish. She finished 2nd in the 400 hurdles in 1:23.61.
The Pioneers now shift their focus to the postseason which begins next Friday when they travel to SUNY Delhi for the two-day Region III Championships.
