Mary Lou DoyleMary Lou Doyle, of Ithaca and Alfred, has been named director of
Human Resources and Payroll at Alfred State College.  She began her duties during the spring
semester.

In this new
capacity, Doyle is responsible for managing the human resource programs for the
approximately 600 college employees.  This
includes developing and administering human resource policies, directing faculty/staff
recruitment efforts, leading campus training and recognition programs, and
maintaining effective employee relations.

The office
also monitors compliance with human resource laws and administers employee
benefits.

Doyle notes
that she is excited to be "bringing a fresh perspective and new energy to the services
offered by the office of human resources for the college and its employees."

Prior to
joining the Alfred State College's professional staff, Doyle served as assistant
dean for Human Resources at Cornell
University's School of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Doyle
holds a master of business administration in organizational development from Syracuse University and a bachelor of arts degree
in English from Colgate
University.
