That’s because ASC student meal plans include dining options at three of the top 10 restaurant chains in the country, based on a recent survey of the top 400 chain establishments published by Restaurants and Institutions magazine in the July 2009 issue.
College students from earlier times may recall a one-size fits all college dining experience that included little flavor and long cafeteria lines. Alfred State College students can’t relate. That’s because ASC student meal plans include dining options at three of the top 10 restaurant chains in the country, based on a recent survey of the top 400 chain establishments published by Restaurants and Institutions magazine in the July 2009 issue.
The three restaurants, Taco Bell (8) all have outlets on the Alfred campus. They are operated by Auxiliary Campus Enterprises and Services (ACES) Dining Services.
“We were one of the first campuses in the SUNY system to pursue relationships with brand-name restaurants,” Karen Canne, Director of Dining Services, explained. “We’re completely focused on giving our student customers choice and flexibility in dining. Our meal plans allow students to use their meal plans in any of these top restaurants, as well as any of the four other cafés on campus.”

When the fall 2009 semester begins in August, students will have a new choice for all-you-care-to-eat dining. Central Dining Hall will now include The Terrace, a food-court style offering that will provide even more customization and flexibility for student diners.
