“The College has been informed that Kappa Sigma Epsilon fraternity painted over the memorial on Rt. 390 honoring Army Sgt. Devin Snyder, who gave her life serving our country. The Alfred State community is disappointed by the alleged actions of this organization. This behavior does not reflect the campus community’s values of respect, integrity, and honor. The College has launched an investigation into this matter and has placed the fraternity on interim suspension. The Greek Life community has also requested disciplinary charges be imposed and for the organization to appear before a disciplinary hearing. The College will announce the outcome of its investigation and hearing when completed.”
