Eighty-three animals have been adopted from the Hornell Area Humane Society and 18 from the SPCA Serving Allegany County in Wellsville, NY. Eighteen of the adoptions were by faculty, staff, or students since August 2011.

Melvin ChamblissAlfred State is pleased to announce the attainment of the goal of 101 animal adoptions as part of Campaign 101. Eighty-three animals have been adopted from the Hornell Area Humane Society and 18 from the SPCA Serving Allegany County in Wellsville, NY. Eighteen of the adoptions were by faculty, staff, or students since August 2011.

“An important piece of civic engagement is identifying a community challenge - and collaboratively coming up with a solution,” notes Jonathan Hilsher, director of ia@alfredstate.edu.
