In the opener, ASC rallied from a 4-0 deficit with a four run 6th inning.  Travis Fenstermaker (LeRoy) had the key two run single to tie the game.  MNE answered back with a single run in the 6th and held off a Pioneer rally in the 7th.  The game ended with Pioneer runners on 1st and 2nd.

Tyler Mann (Holland Patent) struck out nine and walked five in six innings of work.  He allowed six singles.  ASC's offense managed just five singles in the game.

A leadoff walk came around to score in the bottom of the 7th on a two-out chopper that got through the infield in the nightcap.  Garrett Hoag (Dansville) led the offense with a 2 for 4 day while Kevan Smith (Cicero North Syracuse) was 1 for 4 with a RBI.  Alex Lopez (Brooklyn/Juan Morel Campus) struck out five in 5.2 innings of work but didn't factor in the decision.

Alfred State opens up the home portion of their season next Saturday when they host Niagara CCC.  First pitch is at 1 p.m.
