The 2011 Alfred State College football schedule has been finalized.  The Pioneers schedule features ten regular season games with four at home and six on the road.

The 2011 Alfred State College football schedule has been finalized.  The Pioneers schedule features ten regular season games with four at home and six on the road.

The blue & gold open up their season on Labor Day when they travel to SUNY Brockport to take on the JV Eagles at 3 p.m.  The next Monday night (9/12), Alfred State opens up the home portion of their season at 6 p.m. versus Buffalo State JV.

The Pioneers continue their three-game homestand on Sept. 17 when they host Region III rival Erie CC.  On Sept. 24, ASC tangles with Stevens Tech (Lancaster, PA) in the college's homecoming/family weekend contest scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.

ASC heads to Globe Institute (Brooklyn, NY) and Lycoming College JV the next two weekends before returning to Pioneer Stadium for thei final home game of the year on Oct. 15 vs. Louisburg (NC) College.

The final three games are on the road with trips to take on Wright State (OH) Club, Allegheny (PA) College JV, and Hudson Valley CC.

Depending on the success in Region III contests, ASC will have an opportunity to play in the Region III Championship game which is slated for Nov. 12 at the top seed of Region III.

The 2011 Pioneers will play as a NJCAA Independent after deciding to leave the Northeast Football Conference.

The football team begins practice for the 2011 season on August 11th. They will look to improve on last year's 4-6 overall mark.
