Alfred State College’s heavy equipment operations program and Admar Supply (a construction equipment and supply company) recently hosted the first ever Admar Municipal Day on the Wellsville Campus. Admar showcased the latest in construction equipment technology including Topcon GPS and laser grading systems, Kubota construction equipment, Gehl construction equipment and Wacker – Neuson equipment. During the event Admar also hosted various demonstrations, including a grading demo with a Case 750 bulldozer fitted with the TOPCON 3dmc2 system. Admar also conducted rough terrain forklift certifications on site. The heavy equipment operations students were involved in all aspects of hosting this show, including the live equipment demos to guiding campus tours through various departments. It was hailed as an opportunity for the construction industry to actually see what the heavy equipment operations program graduates are able to accomplish.
