#8 Erie CC had 13 different players score as they downed Alfred State 84-60 in their first home game of 2012.  ECC raced out to a 40-19 lead at halftime behind 41% shooting and six three-pointers.

Dequan Jones led the Kats (11-2, 1-0 WNYAC) with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Sam Hattin finished with 12 points and 11 boards.  Haruna Sule also finished in double figures with 12.  ECC shot 40.8% from the field for the game and connected on 13 of 41 three-point attempts.  They also forced ASC into 21 turnovers.

DaQuan Allen (Brooklyn/Boys & Girls) led the Pioneers with 16 points and seven rebounds.  Patrick Parker (Queens/Hillcrest) chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds and Rasheem Creech (Brooklyn/Transit Tech) had 11.  Alex Hall (Jamaica/Forest Hills) came off the bench and had eight.

ASC shot just 23.3% from the field in the 1st half and 36.4% in the 2nd half.  The Pioneers were outrebounded by a 60-41 margin.

The Pioneers (5-10, 0-2 WNYAC) head to Rochester on Tuesday for a 8 p.m. tilt with Monroe CC.
