The Alfred State College men's basketball team trailed by as many as 11 in the 2nd half but rallied to cut the lead to two points in the final minute but could fully overcome the deficit.  JCC-Olean earned the 72-68 victory in the WNYAC opener for the Pioneers.

The Alfred State College men's basketball team trailed by as many as 11 in the 2nd half but rallied to cut the lead to two points in the final minute but could fully overcome the deficit.  JCC-Olean earned the 72-68 victory in the WNYAC opener for the Pioneers.

ASC trailed 32-30 at half but the Jaguars built an 11-point lead early on in the 2nd.  ASC cut it to a one possession game but was slowed down by four missed foul shots and two turnovers in their final two possessions.

DaQuan Allen (Brooklyn/Boys & Girls) led the blue & gold with 17 points.  Rasheem Creech (Brooklyn/Transit Tech) connected on four 3-pointers and finished with a season high 16 while Patrick Parker (Queens/Hillcrest) chipped in 13 points.

The Pioneers were playing for the 1st time since December 7th.

Alfred State hosts #8 Erie CC on Saturday in their first home WNYAC contest of the season.  Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m.
