The groups will be sponsoring ‘Operation Shoebox/Christmas Child’ and will have collection boxes available at the concert. Donated item suggestions are small toys, facecloths, soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, pencils, tablets, crayons, etc. The shoeboxes will be filled and sent to children all over the world.
A winter concert is scheduled to be performed by the Alfred State Voices and Jazz Band on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the Cappadonia auditorium in the Orvis Activities Center. This annual winter concert, “Winter Songs”, will feature both ensembles as well as soloists and is open to public, free of charge.
