Our Community Needs Hub is located on the ground floor of Peet Hall and houses our campus thrift store and food pantry. Our thrift store offers gently used items at significantly low prices to the Alfred State community. Our stock includes clothing, coats, shoes, specialty class wear like scrubs and lab coats, jewelry, and occasionally dorm supplies like hangers, baskets, rugs, and lamps.
Sourcing comes from ongoing donations as well as the Mega-Drive, a sustainability event held at the conclusion of each academic year which collects unwanted items from departing students.
The Community Needs Hub is located on the ground floor of Peet Hall and can only be accessed through the exterior entrance located in the front of the building (it can not be accessed through the resident hall). The space is student run and our hours are updated each semester. Visit PioneerLink for updated hours.
Shop. Donate. Repurpose.
Interested in donating? We welcome contributions of any gently used, clean attire. All donations may be either brought to the Community Needs Hub during open hours or placed in the designated receptacle located on the 3rd floor of the Student Leadership Center.
