Lisa Yates raised two sons to adolescence then pursued a career in nursing. She attended three SUNY schools, Associate’s from Alfred State, BS from SUNY Brockport, and Master’s in nursing from SUNY Binghamton. Lisa now teaches nursing from the program she graduated from and with some former instructors. Primarily she teaches first year students and takes them to clinical sites at Cuba Memorial and Olean General Hospitals. Lisa loves to read, garden, and spend time with her family that includes six grandchildren! Born and raised in Allegany County, she enjoys working with students from urban areas and working to show them the beauty of our area. Lisa enjoys walking for recreation and exercise as well as working with flowers and vegetables in the garden. She just bought a new home so is excited about decorating and planting. Lisa is also into recycling and a member of the Green Team on campus.
