Nikkie Hockenberry (Empathy, Adaptability, Positivity, Connectedness, Strategic) is an energetic, highly-motivated student affairs professional with an authentic passion for diversity, inclusion, leadership, and high-impact social justice programming. A mother of two amazing children, Aidan and Brontë, as well as an Autism Awareness Advocate, an avid knitter, reader, writer and wannabe singer, Nikkie holds an Associates in liberal arts and humanities from Alfred State, a Bachelors in english education from SUNY Fredonia, and a Masters in interdisciplinary studies, with the concentration on women and gender studies, from Empire State College. Her thesis is on young women and variables that influence their leadership. She is currently enrolled in the Advanced graduate Certificate program at Empire State College in women and gender studies. At work Nikkie is inspired by co-creating this leadership program, programming meaningful social and cultural programs and through her work as an advisor for the amazing brothers of Pi Rho Zeta, for which she was the recipient of the 2012 Stu-ey for Greek Adviser of the Year. This coffee enthusiast is also a certified Kripalu yoga instructor, online blogger, amateur crafter and welcomes the opportunity to teach and learn in any environment, preferably one without snow!
