The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute is a non-profit and non-partisan educational organization established in 1978 by members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus to develop the next generation of Latino leaders.
Past events have included diversity education programs; workshops free of cost to the campus community. Office of Multicultural Affairs has provided programs for residence halls, student staff trainings, student organizations, and academic courses.

Provides the students of both Alfred State and Alfred University with the opportunity to have fun while developing leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. They do this through learning, practicing, and teaching different methods of hand, eye, and foot coordination. The Steppas perform at numerous events throughout the year on the ASC campus, the Alfred University campus, and in the Alfred community.

A Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) is mandated by the State University of New York (SUNY) Board of Trustees for each SUNY campus. The committee‘s purpose is to advise Health Services on issues concerning the health and safety of the students attending Alfred State College. SHAC has played an integral part in the Health Fee proposals, mandatory versus optional health insurance offering, the development of a Health Service brochure and much more. Members are appointed by the college president or his/her designee.

In the event of a life threatening emergency, the College will activate the Outdoor Warning Siren. When anyone on campus hears this siren, the instructions are:
