Capital Construction Fund

Visitors to campus will notice that ASC is experiencing its biggest "building boom" since the late 1960s. Below, a brief description of the current projects.

Allied Health Building Rehab

The renovation of the Allied Health Building is complete and a ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Oct. 13, 2012. The name of the facility has changed to The Physical and Health Sciences Building. The project consisted of complete renovation of the second and third floors and a partial renovation of the first floor. It includes state-of-the-art science laboratories, nursing facilities and classrooms.
Total estimated project cost is $14M.

Center for Organic and Sustainable Agriculture (COSA)

Construction at the farm is complete and a ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Oct. 13, 2012. It includes state-of-the-art organic and conventional dairy barns.&
Total estimated project cost is $4.9M.

Construction Workforce Development Center

This state of-the-art construction training center will be a huge catalyst for economic growth in the Southern Tier and Western New York. A donation to the project is a down payment on a brighter economic future for the region.
Total estimated project cost is $4.1M.

Fine Dining Facility

The project includes a state-of-the-art food lab area for fine dining, baking and pastry preparation, an 80-person restaurant and conference facility, a media-enhanced food preparation classroom, a functional greenhouse for growing fresh herbs and other foods, a reception area, and restrooms.
Total estimated project cost is $1.25M.

Horticulture Building Rehab for Veterinary Technology Program

Rehabilitation includes replacement of the existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to include geothermal heating and cooling, installation of a new peaked roof system, new storefront, and tower. The interior of the building will be rehabilitated to accept the surgical suite, radiology suite, vivarium, recovery rooms, reception room, classroom, and laboratory space. The animals currently housed in the Agriculture Science building will be moved to the new Veterinary Technology building into new kennels complete with play areas, and fenced in dog runs.
Total estimated project cost is $1.8M.

Student Leadership Center

The exciting new Student Leadership Center building is under construction with an estimated completion date of August 2013.
Total estimated project cost is $33.5M.

The Theta Gamma House Rehab

Updates are needed in order to adapt to new use by the Institutional Advancement and Alumni departments. Flooring, interconnecting walls, doors, light fixtures, and ceilings will be replaced along with electrical wiring, heating, and plumbing systems. Restoration will return the building to its original look.
Total estimated project cost is $300,000.
