Description: 

This course focuses on strengthening the student's ability to speak, write, and read Spanish. Through a balanced integration of listening, reading, speaking, writing, and critical thinking activities, students will broaden their grammar, vocabulary, and knowledge of Hispanic culture, art, history, literature, film, and music. The class will be conducted completely in Spanish. Readings and literary selections will come from different Hispanic and Latin American sources.

Description: 

A student may contract for an independent study through an arrangement with an instructor who agrees to direct such a study. The student will submit a plan acceptable to the instructor and to the department chairperson. The instructor and student will confer regularly regarding the process of the study.
