Dr. Gregory Sammons, vice president for Student Affairs, obtained Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP®) certification through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). He also received Cornell University’s Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion.
Maureen Sibble, a senior career planning and development associate, fulfilled the requirements necessary to become a Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS).
Eva Benedict, a member of Alfred State’s College Council, was selected by Sen. George Borrello as the 57th New York State Senate District 2020 Woman of Distinction in recognition of her distinguished career and her commitment to rural health care.
Dr. Melvin Chambliss was hired as the new chief diversity officer of the Alfred State Police Academy.
Nikkie Herman, the chief diversity officer and Title IX coordinator, was honored with the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
Mary Monroe, an accountant aide in Business Affairs, received the Chancellor’s Award for Classified Service.
Holly Chase, an assistant professor in the Business Department, fulfilled the requirements necessary to earn the Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) designation.
Danielle Green, an assistant professor in the Business Department, received the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service.
Jessica Lippa, an assistant professor and co-chair of the Nursing Department, was named the recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
David Chilson, former instructional support assistant in the Building Trades Department, and Sarah Haskins, former coordinator of opportunity programs in the Student Success Center, were each named recipients of the Student Advocate Award.
