Lakers Win Low Scoring Affair

Finger Lakes CC pulled off a 52-45 victory over Alfred State on Thursday night in a low scoring affair.  The Pioneers were slowed down by 20 turnovers and are now 4-4 on the year.

Marquis Chatman (Allen, TX) led the Pioneers with 11 points while Jamar White (Laurel, MD) added 10.  Adam Fezza (Southhampton) chipped in eight.  Alfred shot 43.9% from the field, 35.3% from three, and just 37.5% from the charity stripe.

Richard DeLaCruz led FLCC with 18 points while Will Arberry came off the bench and recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.  Kaleem Edwards chipped in eight.   FLCC shot 42.2% from the field, 23.5% from three, and 47.6% from the foul line.

FLCC led 25-22 at halftime.

Alfred returns to action on Sunday when they host SUNY Delhi at 2 p.m.  Delhi enters the game ranked #2 in the latest NJCAA DIII poll.
