The Alfred State women's soccer team earned a 4-0 victory over Jamestown CC to run their winning streak to three games and improve their overall record to 3-1, 3-0 Region III Division III.
Hannah Holmok (Alfred Almond) scored the lone goal of the 1st half after getting a pass from Kali Mulheisen (Alfred Almond).
In the 2nd, the Lady Pioneers put the game out of reach with three goals in a span of less than seven minutes. Mulheisen scored in the 53rd minute after getting a pass from Holmok. Taylor Dezio (Marion) scored in the 58th minute. Holmok and Mulheisen were each credited with assists. Dezio capped the scoring in the 59th minute after getting a pass from Mulheisen.
The Pioneers held a 30 to 2 shot advantage in the contest. Krista DeCarlo (Bayshore/West Islip) made one save in just under 69 minutes and Kayla Scharet (Warsaw) played the final 21 minutes to seal the Lady Pioneers second shutout of the year.
The blue & gold continue their stretch of home games on Saturday when they take on Mercyhurst North East at 1 p.m.
