Nichole Tyler (Spencer Van Etten), Tiffany McLaughlin (Wellsville), and Jaslynn Lee (Rush Henrietta) have been named to the Region III Division II All-Region team. Tyler and McLaughlin were 1st team selections while Lee was a 3rd team honoree.
Tyler, a 2nd team All-Region selection last year, averaged 15.3 points per game and 10.3 rebounds for the Lady Pioneers. She recorded 15 double-doubles on the season and finishes with 26 double-doubles for her career. She also recorded 81 assists and came up with 76 steals.
For her career, she finishes as the Alfred State College all-time leading scorer with 916 points. She also grabbed 545 rebounds in her career.
McLaughlin completed her freshmen campaign averaging 14.1 points per game average. She also grabbed 5.9 rebounds, passed out 1.9 assists, and came up with 1.5 steals per game. She was named the Lady Kats Tournament MVP to start the season and was named to the 1st team All-Region III Division II Tournament team to cap off the season.
Lee etched her name into the record book with a solid sophomore season. She became the college's all-time career assist leader with 152 assists this season. For her career she finishes with 299 assists which is two more than Randy Harris.
This season she averaged 8.5 points, 5.2 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game. She recorded one double-double and one triple-double. She was a 2nd team All-Region III Division II Tournament selection this past weekend.
The Lady Pioneers finished the 2006-07 campaign with a 19-10 record. Tyler, Lee, and Philicia Harris (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) leave Alfred State with a 37-20 record during their two year career.
