Yesterday (Sunday October, 30th), a club that I am a part of, Up 'Til Dawn, put on a Halloween party. The party was held in Pioneer Lounge, which is located on lower campus, and it was held to create awareness for childhood cancer and awareness for St. Judes Children's hospital. The event consisted of two minute to win it games and two basic Halloween games, donuts on a string and the toilet paper mummy game. We also had a costume contest and a trivia contest. Everyone who won those games got a prize. We had freshly popped popcorn, candy, and homemade apple cider. The event drew in a good amount of people the seats were filled for the movie we showed, Halloween (the remake). We had lots of people actively participating in the trivia about St. Jude's and in the various games. The prizes for those consisted of cold drink cups with straws (for ice coffee or ice tea), Halloween pez dispensers, Terra Cotta gift card (a popular local coffee shop), and a snuggie. I had a blast dressing up, running games, and spreading awareness to the impact of childhood cancer.
